Day 1
Well we couldn’t ask for a better start to the day with sun and no sign of any rain. We started our 2 day bronze gaisce hillwalk with transition year students from rockford manor secondary school at djouce woods carpark. We made our way up through the woods overlooking powerscourt waterfall and onto the open mountain of the wicklow way and up onto the spur of djouce mountain. Here we reached the highest point on the wicklow way, we were onto the boardwalks of white hill and down into the ballinastoe carpark where our support vehicle was waiting with some well deserved refreshments. From ballinastoe we made our way up over ballinafunshogue hill following the wicklow way and made our way down to lough dan hostel where the group was to spend their overnight stay and a well deserved rest after walking 16kms!

Day 2
On the morning of our second day the weather was misreable but it did,nt dampen the spirit of this group. We set off on our adventure following the wicklow way from lough dan and up onto paddock hill taking our lunch break at brushers gap where mountain meitheal have built a wonderful mountain hut to take shelter from the weather.

After lunch we ventured off over paddock hill and down into the glenmacnass valley over the river following the wicklow way and made our final leg of our walk down to the brockagh resource center where we stopped for tea and buscuits. Over the 2 days we walked over 25kms and completing the bronze gaisce hillwalk and couldn’t of asked for a better group.
Well done to the transition year students of rockford manor secondary school 2011!
Fantastic day being able to facilitate AIB with our mountain bikes on their corporate team training day which took place from Kippure to Blessington Lakes. It was an early start for some as we went through the demo and safety talk on the bikes and equipment. As a part of their corporate challenge, the team set off on their journey having to navigate and reach key controls before rendezvous with their pick up at Blessington Lakes.
Great day all round.!
What a savage day for a spin on the bikes with Tallaght Youth Service, taking in the sights of Vartry Reservoir. What a day to be on the bikes!
Well what great weather we had on the second day of our gold gaisce award hillwalk in wicklow. We started off at knockree youth hostel and then onto the wicklow way across the glencree valley to crone wood. We continued along the wicklow way up to ride rock where we got some amazing views of powerscourt waterfall and a nice little break! We headed on up and across the dargle valley and on up to the spur of djouce mountain where we stopped for lunch. We then made our way down through djouce woods and headed into the grounds powerscourt waterfall to stop for some photos. After that we headed back by road and across the glencree valley to knockree youth hostel where we deserved a nice cup of tea!
Overall we walked 22kms on day 2 as part of their gold gaisce award. What a great group and weather couldnt be more perfect!

Well what a great day we had biking in the surrounding hills of Glendalough Valley and National Park with a fantastic bunch of lads from Holland. We started off in Laragh village and after a nice climb up we made our way up onto the lower region of Derrybawn Mountain which then linked up to the Wicklow Way, taking in amazing scenery of the Glendalough valley.
From here on it was all downhill, stopping off at Poulanass Waterfall and taking in the Upper Lake before we rode up higher into the valley to take in the sights of the Glenealo River and Old Miners Village. To finish the bike tour off we took it nice and easy riding back down to Laragh village through the grounds of Glendalough National Park and finishing at Lynhams Pub.
Great day to be had all round with a fantastic bunch of lads!
